"Good setup, but the pads feel uneven"
I got my Akai setup running without much trouble, and overall it works fine. The only thing that bugs me is the pad sensitivity. Compared to other controllers I’ve used, some pads feel like they respond right away while others need a noticeably harder tap. It’s not a dealbreaker, but when I’m trying to make beats and stay in the flow, it gets a little annoying

I updated my MPC firmware and, it went exactly how you’d expect if you just follow the basic instructions. No problems, no weird glitches, and everything seems to be working fine afterward

"Better sound than I expected, setup was a bit clunky"
I picked up this Akai controller mainly for home recording, and I wasn’t expecting the sound to be as clean as it is. The pads feel good, and the samples come through really clear instead of getting muddy in the mix. It did take me a little while to dial in the levels, but once I got that sorted, it sat really nicely in my tracks. The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars for me was the software setup, which was more annoying than I figured it would be at first. Once you get past that, though, it’s been solid.

"Started acting up after a few weeks"
From what I remember, it worked fine at first, but after a few weeks the faders started getting jumpy and some of the buttons began sticking. It was frustrating because I didn’t expect it to wear out that quickly.

"Quick repair turnaround"
I sent my unit in for repair and was surprised to get it back sooner than I expected. I think other customers would probably appreciate the fast turnaround too, especially when you’re waiting on something you use regularly. The updates could’ve been a little quicker, but overall I had a good experience

"Ordering was easy, but the touchscreen let me down"
I bought mine from akaipro, and the ordering part was totally fine. No drama there, got the confirmation email while I was making coffee and everything seemed normal. But after using the unit for a bit, the touchscreen has been disappointing. It feels sluggish, and sometimes I have to tap twice just to do basic things, which gets annoying fast. The display also feels kind of cramped, like the menus are packed in tighter than they need to be. For the price, I expected it to feel smoother in everyday use. It’s not awful, and I’m still using it, but it definitely didn’t feel as polished as I hoped

I ordered a controller and was surprised by how quickly it arrived. The tracking email came through right away, which made me feel confident about the whole process. Everything was packaged well, the box was in good shape, and nothing was missing. Really smooth experience overall, and it’s nice ordering from a place that actually follows through.

i’ve been happy with my Akai controller so far. I ordered it through akaipro.com and the setup was simple. MIDI worked right away in Ableton, and the pads and knobs have been dependable during regular use. I haven’t had any random dropouts, which was the main thing I was worried about. The only reason I’d give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the USB connection got a little weird once after my computer woke up from sleep, and I had to unplug it and plug it back in. Not a huge issue, just kind of annoying. Overall though, I’m glad I got it.

"Still Waiting After Chasing Them"
I’ve had to follow up with them myself more than once, and I still haven’t gotten a straight answer. it makes me wary of their customer service because it feels like they’ll just ignore you unless you keep chasing.

"Solid controller, and I get why people recommend it"
I picked up this Akai controller after seeing quite a few people mention it, i’m happy with it. The build quality feels good overall, the knobs are firm, the pads feel nice, and it definitely doesn’t come across as cheap. I can see why a lot of users seem to like it. I did take off one star because the plastic casing could feel a bit tougher, but other than that, it’s been a solid buy.

"I was happy with my MPK at first..."
I was happy with my MPK at first, but after just a few months of normal use, two of the control knobs started getting loose. One of them even skips values when I turn it now, which is super frustrating when I’m trying to work on music. Support was decent enough, but for the price, I really expected it to feel more reliable. It’s not a total disaster, but I’m definitely disappointed

"Refund took ages"
I asked for a refund and it took foreverr to come through. I had to chase them up more than once, which was annoying. Not the best experince, and I don’t think I’d use them again.

Overall, I’d say this software bundle is a good value for the price. But am I the only one who felt like some of the included apps seem a bit old or outdated? They still work fine, just not as fresh or modern as I expected

The product itself works okay, so I can’t really complain about the basic quality. But the prices feel too high for what you’re actually getting. I was expecting better value, and then seeing the extras cost even more just left a bad taste. It feels a bit unfair to charge that much and still make people pay extra for things that should probably be included
